HAMsmithing – Just a Simple LiFePO4 Battery Pack

With the addition on a simple 25W mobile radio in my preps I soon found out that I needed a power pack to feed it for lesser tasks. Like programming it, running some antenna tests etc etc.

So I opted for four 26650 LiFePO4 which are easy for me to charger with my Opus BC-3100 charger.

Yes I know, I could add a charging PCB for in-series batteries, and I may do it in the future. But for the time being over discharge is indicated by my radio which drop powers and then bleeps if there is insufficient voltage for it, and over charging and balancing is no issue for matched battery sets that are charged individually.

And being cheap, I keep the battery pack in a tupperware container..
